The Outsiders Who Built Irish Entertainment
Maurice and Louis Elliman
My first book began with a question that had been sitting with my daughters for years: how did their great grandfather, Maurice Elliman, and his sons come to play such an important part in Ireland’s entertainment history?
The answer took me deep into the story of Maurice and Louis Elliman, their family, their theatres and the extraordinary world of Irish entertainment in the first half of the twentieth century.
What began as family history became a much larger story: of immigration and ambition, Jewish life in Ireland, theatre and popular entertainment, and two outsiders who helped shape an industry.
The book was published by Vallentine Mitchell in 2025, launched in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv in January 2026, in Dublin in February 2026, and has since been discussed in the Irish and Jewish press and reviewed in the Journal of Modern Jewish Studies.

Outnumbered
Raising Triplets and Learning to Let Go
In 1990, at forty, I unexpectedly and unintentionally became mother to triplet daughters. They arrived three weeks early and immediately turned my carefully ordinary life into something else entirely.
OUTNUMBERED follows what happened next: the exhausting, exhilarating and sometimes absurd business of raising three children of the same age; the rules and rivalries of triplet life; marriage and divorce; illness and bereavement; and, eventually, the difficult business of letting three daughters become three separate adults.
It is also a memoir about identity — theirs and mine — and about what happens when the roles we have been given no longer fit.
